Forest Science Hall

The
Forest Science Hall
was established on the site of Hongneung Therapeutic Forest in November, 1999, for the purpose ofproviding knowledge and information about the importance of forestry and related industries and their role in protecting the natural environment.
The hall, constructed with the wooden materials from Korea, consists of three permanent exhibition rooms, a planning room, and a special exhibition room. Under the three overarching themes of the forest-man relationship, forest-industry relationship, and wood-living relationship, the hall displays easy-to-access materials that illustrate the important relationship between forest and man, the industrialization of forestry, and the processing technologies and usage of various forest products. The planning and special exhibition rooms display various articles that correspond to the themes or the trends in the contemporary era. It is an open forum of education that welcomes the opportunity to enlighten people of forests.
Hongneung Therapeutic Forest and the
Forest Science Hall
are open to the general public on Sundays and student groups on weekdays free of charge. They provide an invaluable opportunity for visitors to experience and learn about nature and realize the irreplaceable value of forests and mountains.
